I know I’ve left you all in the dark for over a month.  So sorry!  I really do intend to post more than once a month, and I’ll soon be posting about Jonah’s first birthday party.  But until then, here’s a little something to tide you over.  This is Jonah yesterday evening… he’s such a big boy!

Here it is folks.  A few nights ago we were just clapping to Jonah and saying “Yay” and whatnot… the usual.  Then suddenly he started clapping back after every time we clapped!  It was definitely a big moment… it was the first time we really saw him copying something he had seen.  So here’s the video.  Oh, and for his next trick, he’s learning to say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”  He’s REALLY close.

I’ve decided to give you all a rare and very exclusive (open only to humans who have internet access) look at what goes on behind the scenes of Jonah’s weekly photo shoot.  In this particular shoot (Week 21), Freddie said something rather nasty (not something I can repeat) to Jonah, so he broke out the big guns and let loose on poor Freddie.  You might recall their falling out a few weeks ago… they had since made up, but I guess they’re back to being on the rocks.

Couldn’t resist posting some photos of Jonah sleeping this afternoon.  We decided to give “tummy time” a try because when we’ve had him face down on our chest, he seems to do very well lifting his head and turning it from side to side.  Well, the little dude had been awake much more of the day than usual, so I laid him down on his tummy, and he was out in less than a minute.  Perfect opportunity for some fun photos!

Day 4 has gone fairly well.  Last night was rough, but the little dude has been eating like a crazy person, so that’s a BIG plus!  He basically eats, cries, poops, poops, and sleeps right now, but he’s still as cute as can be.  We did a little photo shoot this afternoon, and if I do say so myself, we have one handsome little son!  You can see more here.

Jonah is loved.  We’ve had countless family members and friends show up in the last couple of days, and they’ve all loved on Jonah like he’s the most amazing thing in the world… which he is.  He’s been very mild-mannered, only crying occasionally (mainly when daddy strips him down to change his diaper).  He had some trouble finding the food for a bit, but since last night, he’s been feeding regularly and increasingly longer.  Since yesterday evening, I think he’s been awake a total of maybe two hours.  He’s literally asleep all the time at this point.  Anyway, he’s incredible, we love being parents, life is good.  Enjoy the photos!
